Joint Nordic calls for proposals
NordForsk announces funding through joint Nordic research programmes in all thematic areas. To be eligible for funding, activities must normally involve the participation of researchers from at least three Nordic countries or the autonomous areas (the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland). NordForsk also funds nordic research infrastructure cooperation to increase joint Nordic use and access to RI.
Funding is available for projects in national priority areas with the goal to deliver Nordic added value and research of high international quality. The funding from NordForsk includes funding from national research agencies and other research funders.

- Nordic Innovation promotes cross-border trade and innovation, and issues calls for proposals for Nordic innovation projects.
- Researchers with projects in the field of energy can apply for funding from Nordic Energy Research.
- Nordic cooperation bodies for forestry research and agricultural and food research also offer funding for research projects.
- The Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) announces funding for workshops each year (February-March) and for grants for Nordic scientific journals (August).
