When can you expect the application results?
Decisions on whether an application is awarded funding are normally made by one of our portfolio boards. A call for proposals can have many topics that are covered by several portfolio boards. Therefore, the allocations for the same call are made at different times.
We will publish the application results as soon as possible after the portfolio board has had its meeting. As a rule, we publish the results outside the stock exchange's opening hours.
Everyone will receive an answer in My RCN web (old application system) or on My page (new application system). Response letters (My RCN web) or grant letters (My page) will be sent out as they are ready. The results are also published via our newsletter. All applicants will receive a reason for the decision.
The application results will also be published in each individual call. See the application results. In the call text under "Administrative procedures", you will find information about when you can expect the application results. For our major calls for proposals, we will update the message fields in the calls with the dates of the funding decision as soon as we know what they are.
FRIPRO application assessment
You can submit an application to FRIPRO whenever you wish. Our staff will check whether your application meets the formal requirements. The application will then be reviewed by peers approximately one to five months after submission.
The portfolio board makes decisions every two months. Non-qualified applications will be rejected. Eligible applications will either be granted or given a second chance in the next round of decisions. If they are not granted then either, they compete in a third and final round. Applications that are rejected or granted immediate funding will receive an average response six to eight months after the application was submitted. If your application is included in several rounds, it will take two to four months longer until you receive an answer.
We announce the results from each decision round in a funding announcement. In addition each applicant receives an answer to their application on "My RCN web" and we will publish which applications have been granted under "Application results" for the respective calls.
