Funding to Build Nordic Consortia and Develop Competitive Proposals for Raw Materials Partnership (RAMP) and Related EU Calls

This call provides funding for preparatory projects that bring together Nordic actors in research and innovation within the raw materials and minerals field. The objective is to support consortium building, network development, and the strategic foundation for competitive proposals to the EU co-funded partnership Raw Materials Partnership (RAMP) and other relevant calls.

The call has a open-ended deadline and will close once the available funding has been allocated. It is carried out in collaboration with NordForsk, with a total budget of NOK 25 million. The Research Council of Norway contributes a total of NOK 5 million through 2027. 

The call is relevant for research organisations, companies, the public sector, organisations, and other actors who wish to collaborate across the Nordic region and disciplines to develop strong project ideas, identify research and innovation needs, and position themselves for upcoming European funding opportunities. 

  • Minimum–maximum funding per application: Up to NOK 1 million, of which NOK 400,000 can be allocated to the project owner and NOK 300,000 per partner 
  • Requirement: Minimum three Nordic partners per application 
  • Total funding available in this call: NOK 25 million, including NOK 5 million from the Research Council of Norway 
  • State aid information: The Research Council’s co-funding will be considered state aid. See details on the Research Council’s website
