Companies and public sector entities that are not research organisations can apply.
The objective is to encourage value creation and renewal in the business and public sectors. Innovation Projects are to help enhance competitiveness in new and existing business areas, strengthen the restructuring capacity of the Norwegian economy and the public sector, and increase interaction and knowledge transfer across stakeholders.
An Innovation Project for the Public Sector is intended to promote sustainable, systematic and effective innovation in public-sector services, infrastructure and administration. Innovation projects must be based on needs and challenges and be part of the public entity’s plans for development. The project is to be executed through effective collaboration between the Project Owner (public sector body), R&D groups and other relevant stakeholders.
The call will help create innovative solutions to public sector needs. The call is only available in Norwegian.
Health Pilot is a new initiative that gives public sector bodies and businesses the opportunity to establish coordinated, needs-driven innovation together. Its aim is to encourage binding collaboration between the public and private sector, and to alleviate risk for the participants. The solutions the projects generate must be innovative, help to make the health and care services more sustainable and increase value creation in the Norwegian business sector.
The purpose of this call for proposals for Pilot-T projects is to accelerate the application of novel, smart mobility solutions by developing and testing and/ or piloting technologies and business models with the potential to contribute to the creation of an efficient, safe and environmentally-friendly transport system for the future.
Approved Norwegian research organisations can apply. Many calls for proposals require collaboration with trade and industry or stakeholders in the public sector.
The objective is targeted, long-term investment to strengthen and further develop outstanding and creative research and innovation groups, or to build up research groups in areas of key strategic importance. Research Centre provides a framework for calls under several different centre schemes that are designed to support the best research groups and lead to pioneering research and new innovations, or to strengthen key priority areas.
The purpose of this call is to establish up to two new Research Centres for Petroleum. The objective of the research centres is to improve capacity and expertise by addressing defined and delimited challenges related to utilisation of petroleum resources on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The objective is to fund the planning, coordination and dissemination of R&D activities. Coordination and Support Activities are to promote researcher mobility, national and international networks, publication, dialogue, dissemination activity and more in connection with R&D activities.
Funding is available to establish collaboration between research groups and public/private sector actors with a view to applying for funding under a call for a Collaborative and Knowledge-building Project relating to antimicrobial resistance from a One Health perspective.
The objective is to establish collaboration on a doctoral degree programme to ensure the candidates receive a coordinated, high-quality education that qualifies them for research and other work that requires good scientific insight and competence. Through these funds, we support projects that increase doctoral degree programmes’ relevance to the labour market. The objective is to develop and use new methods and approaches to that end, in collaboration with one or more partners in industry, the public sector and/or organisations.
The STIM-OA scheme facilitates the transition to open access publication. You can receive up to 50 per cent of the research organisation's costs for open publication from the previous financial year. All approved research organisations in all subject areas in Norway may seek support.
Researchers from Norway may seek support for funding for short-term visits in France for the purpose of launching and developing new joint research projects. The call is open to approved Norwegian research organisations applying jointly with research organisations in France.
