Portfolio for climate and environment
The portfolio includes research on climate, environment, nature, circular economy and polar areas. This involves research on how human activity affects ecosystems, how climate and nature changes have an impact, how society can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and use land in a more sustainable way.
Svalbard Research Office
The research office main task is to provide guidance and advice for anyone who wants to conduct research in Svalbard. The science office have an overview of research activities and will coordinate research to reduce the overall burden on nature.
The Portfolio Board for Climate and Environment
The portfolio area shall provide strategic advice on research and innovation within the portfolio area Climate and environment, and provide support for projects that contribute to the goals set for the portfolio.
