The Research Council shall be at the forefront of promoting gender balance and gender perspectives in research and innovation, both nationally and internationally. The purpose is to contribute to gender equality in society, to contribute to research of the highest quality by safeguarding the best research talents, facilitating well-functioning research environments and ensuring a breadth of perspectives that provide good explanatory power and innovative solutions.
