Climate, Environment and Health 2 - Belmont Forum

Belmont Forum call for international cooperation on climate, environment and health. The Research Council of Norway contributes with NOK 15 million to Norwegian project participants and their partners in low and lower middle income countries (LLMICs).

The purpose of the call is to improve understanding among the climate, environment, and health pathways to protect and promote ecological, planetary, and human health in the face of climate challenges.

This is Belmont Forum's second call for project applications on climate, environment and health. The first call (2019) resulted in nine projects, four of which have a Norwegian coordinator or partner. The 2023 call has three themes and the projects must support long-term policymaking and decision-making. The projects must be transdisciplinary and include partners from at least three of the involved countries.

Only successful and invited applicants from the first deadline can submit an application for deadline 2.

See the call for proposals and application submission portal on the Belmont Forum website. See specific information for Norwegian partners in the national annex for Norway which you will find in the call.

If you have questions about the call for proposals and the requirements in the national annex, please contact Karine Kålsås who works with global health or Eli Ragna Tærum who works with climate research at the Research Council.
