Can the public sector receive Research Council funding?

Public sector bodies that need research in connection with innovation activities to develop services, infrastructure and management practices can apply for Research Council funding. We support activities where the public sector collaborates with researchers.

From and including 2022, all grant recipients that are research organisations or public sector bodies (Project Owners and partners) must have a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) (opens in new tab) available on their website. This must be in place when they sign the grant agreement for projects awarded funding from the Research Council.
