About the event

This event is for those who want to take part in projects under the DIGITAL Europe Programme. The course will show you how to write strong proposals, help you understand the application process, teach you how to build a collaborative project (consortium), and explain what characterizes a successful proposal.

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is the EU’s programme for investing in and developing digital skills and capacity across society and industry. Its goal is to accelerate digital transformation and make it easier to adopt digital tools developed in Europe. Unlike Horizon Europe, which funds research and innovation, DIGITAL supports the practical development and deployment of digital solutions.

The programme has a budget of over EUR 8.1 billion and prioritizes key areas such as supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and advanced digital skills.

DIGITAL supports projects where the technology is already developed and ready to be implemented. Applications under DIGITAL are shorter than in many other programmes, and there is no requirement for groundbreaking research (excellence). Projects are evaluated based on relevance, impact, and the quality of the implementation plan.

DIGITAL typically funds up to 50 percent of total project costs, meaning you will need to find partners to cover the remaining expenses—whether from the private sector or public institutions.
