Normally, applications are only accepted from Norwegian institutions and companies. This means that applicants from abroad must as a rule have a formal affiliation with a Norwegian institution to be eligible for funding from the Research Council.
Some financing opportunities are specifically designed for foreign researchers and partners. The Research Council offers scholarships for studies and research in Norway and fund researcher mobility and networking between Norwegian institutions and institutions in many other countries.

Note: Each grant proposal is listed with its assigned project number, the programme/activity applied for, project title, the proposing institution/company and the processing officer within the Research Council.

Approved applications
So far only a few of our programmes and activities publish the results of the application processing on this site. Preparations are being made for the service to cover the entire Research Council.
Information about funding can be found under the section Apply for Funding. Calls for proposals are publicised at the latest six weeks before the application deadline. To find out which programmes/activities are currently offering funding, use either the search function or the thematic overviews provided under Find calls for proposals.
Go to Find calls for proposals and locate your call. Follow the three main steps:
1. Confirm the selected call for proposals. 2. Select the appropriate
application type. 3. Log in to access the application form.
Normally, applications for research funding must be formally submitted by a Norwegian company or institution. However, some financing opportunities are specifically designed for foreign researchers and partners. Read more under For applicants from abroad.
Progress reports and final reports are to be submitted to the Research Council via "My RCN Web". Those responsible for submitting reports will be notified of this by e-mail well in advance of the reporting deadlines. For more information, see the sample report forms under Project follow-up and reporting.
Equal socio-economic status may be significant in terms of health.
The research may also prove beneficial in the treatment of other illnesses.
