Meet our Candidates

In a series of articles, we present to you the Industrial PhD candidates, their projects and their respective companies.

The Industrial PhD Scheme aims to promote productive collaborations between industry and academia, and presents companies with a unique opportunity to strengthen their research competence. Industrial PhD candidates conduct research on issues and topics that are relevant to their company's business ventures, and obtain academic guidance from a university or a university college, in Norway or abroad.

There are no identical Industrial PhD projects. The scheme welcomes all fields of study and businesses, and is quite flexible regarding how the companies wish to organize their projects. In the left sidebar menu, you will find a selection of projects conducted under the Industrial PhD Scheme. Read more about our candidates, their own perceptions of their role as an Industrial PhD candidate, and their experiences from researching in a collaboration project between academia and industry.
