Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. Norway contributes in the programme at the same level as other European countries.

  • New conditions for support for establishment of Horizon 2020 projects

As of 1 May 2017, funding under the Research Council of Norway’s PES2020 scheme is disbursed as a lump sum and you will no longer be required to report your own costs. In addition, the funding ceilings have been raised both for ordinary participants and for coordinators of collaborative projects.

  • Even more help with EU grant proposals

The Research Council of Norway’s new “Path to EU Excellence” initiative is now offering more courses relating to the application process for funding from Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

  • World-leading enterprises want to work with Oslo

Well-established networks to major medical equipment producers made it possible for Oslo University Hospital to win funding under Horizon 2020’s commercialisation programme, “Fast Track to Innovation”.
