European Commission - FP7 Health.  The objective of health research under FP7 is to improve the health of European citizens and boost the competitiveness of health-related industries and businesses, as well as address global health issues. The Health theme is a major theme of the Cooperation programme and the EU has earmarked a total of € 6.1 billion for funding this theme over the duration of FP7.

The Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research is a network of Norwegian researchers and institutions. The Forum promotes high quality global health research with particular emphasis on strengthening the capacity of Norwegian institutions and their partners in low and middle income countries. international researchers searching for Norwegian partners are encouraged to contact the Forum.

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and The Research Council of Norway (RCN) have established collaborative efforts between India and Norway in the field of human vaccination research, including joint calls for proposals and joint research projects between Indian and Norwegian scientists.

European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP)have a mission to accelerate the development of new or improved drugs and vaccines against HIV, TB, and malaria, with focus on phase II and III clinical trials and on sub-Saharan Africa. GLOBVAC contributed with 50 mill. NOK co-funding available for EDCTP–calls on vaccination in 2007/2008.
