Investeringsplanen for Global utvikling og internasjonale relasjoner

Action Plan

The UTENRIKS activities will for the next three years be challenged with regards to disposable income. The call for proposals held in 2019 and 2020 were quite substantial in order to catch up on the yearly transfer of funds. The earmarked funds for research on the High North, Russia and Europe (up until 2023) are with the call in 2020 already committed. This means that the only available funds for 2021, 2022 and 2023 is 60 million kroner – earmarked for research on Asia (Asia in a Time of Change).
Available funds for The NORGLOBAL activity up until 2023 is 108 million kroner. Due to the limited funds in UTENRIKS, and in order enhance a broader perspective on research on IR and global development, it is decided by the Portfolio Board that the 2021 call for proposals will be a joint call by NORGLOBAL and UTENRIKS.

The second period of GLOBVAC ends in 2020, and the level of funding for a new period is uncertain. The number and frequency of calls and the use of different application types for the next three years depends on the level of funding. The information entered in the tables below is based on a situation in which a new global health activity receives a yearly allocation of NOK 50 million. The planned activities will be amended as soon as the level of funding and the priorities for the sub-portfolio are clarified.

The Visjon2030 mechanism received its final transfer of funds in 2018 to cover commitments towards the already financed projects. The projects will be finalized by 2022, considering project delays due to the corona pandemic. No new funds are expected to be available for this mechanism.
