About the event

In the EU's next framework programme, Horizon Europe, sustainable energy will be heavily focused. This is a field with great potential for Norwegian-German cooperation. Get an insight into these opportunities at the conference "Norwegian - German dialogues on sustainable energy and European cooperation in education and research".

The purpose of the conference is to facilitate stronger German - Norwegian cooperation in sustainable energy in preparation for Horizon Europe (the EU's new framework programme from 2021).

The conference will be opened by Henrik Asheim, Minister of Research and Higher Education and Anja Karliczek, Germany's Minister of Research and Education.

It is possible to participate one of the days, or both days.

The European Commission has launched an ambitious commitment to green restructuring (Green Deal). This initiative will also influence the design of Horizon Europe and sustainable energy will be a central research field.

Research and innovation cooperation between Norway and Germany is extensive, and Germany is Norway's most important partner in the EU framework programme for research and innovation. Cooperation is greatest in energy, climate and the environment.

The conference follows up the Norwegian government's strategy for cooperation with Germany, with the aim of strengthening and increasing cooperation between Germany and Norway in research, education and innovation.
