With its location in the Arctic, between Norway and the Arctic Ocean, the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard is a unique platform for research and teaching of high international quality.
Svalbard Science Conference 2019 will be held for the second time on 5 - 6 November at Scandic, Fornebu. This year's conference wants to put Svalbard in a pan-Arctic perspective, and the goal of the conference is to facilitate increased research collaboration and quality, strengthen interdisciplinary and international research networks and consolidate Svalbard as an attractive platform for research in the Arctic.
We invite participants to take an active role in the conference through presentations, poster sessions and group discussions. In addition, there will be inspirational presentations from invited guests and updates on the new strategies for research and education in Svalbard will be presented. See the conference's website for preliminary program, registration and how to submit an abstract.
