JPI More Years Better Lives

Apply now

As one of eleven research-funding organizations from different countries, The Research Council of Norway is participating in JPI More Years Better Lives' joint transnational call Equality and Wellbeing across Generations (EWG). The call is now open for applications and will close 14 September, 17:00 CEST.

The Research Council of Norway is funding the call with approx. NOK 10 million and can fund Norwegian partners within two of the call's topics:

Income and wealth: Financial conditions in later life are unevenly distributed based on previous employment, various pension systems and living situation. Increasing care costs, longer occupational participation and increasing number of years as a pensioner affect the distribution between generations.

Caring responsibilities: A high proportion of older people are responsible for parents, children or partners. Caring can be emotionally rewarding but can also be a strain on people's mental and physical health as well as adversely affect employment opportunities.

Approx. NOK 7.5 million is available for income and wealth and approx. NOK 2.5 million is available for caring responsibilities. Norwegian partners can apply for a maximum of NOK 2.5 million per project.

Read the guidelines carefully

Proposals must include at least three partners from at least three of the participating countries. Funding is granted for three years. Please read the guidelines, which include separate information for Norwegian applicants, carefully (PDF "Guidelines for applicants" available in the call).

The call and submission platform are available here.
