The Research Council has drawn up a report with recommendations for policy on research institutes based on evaluations of the four institute groups. Following a consultative review process, a revised report has been submitted to the Ministry of Education and Research.

STIM-EU funding is designed to increase participation of Norwegian research institutes in the EU framework programmes for research, innovation and technological development. This funding is entirely results-based; it is not possible to apply for it.
