The portfolio board is to follow up and develop the overall portfolio of projects within enabling and industrial technologies, including biotechnology, nanotechnology and ICT/digitalisation.
The portfolio board is to help to achieve:
- knowledge and capacity building in the relevant technology areas;
- a good foundation for industrial development and a new, research-based industrial sector;
- better interaction between research organisations, trade and industry and the public sector.
The board is to be a driver of innovation and greater efficiency through digitalisation and the use of new technology. The board is to ensure that the technologies are developed and utilised in an interplay between disciplines, and that the development is carried out in a responsible manner.
