Better information to grant applicants:

Outcomes for all applications now in one place

The results of the application processing for all Research Council of Norway programmes and activities have now been consolidated on a designated website page. The list of approved grants for each programme will be published as soon as the assessment process has been concluded.

Until recently, Research Council programmes and activities have had somewhat different practices for publicising information about grant awards. In some cases, this information has only been made available in Norwegian.

Now, the Research Council will be providing information about all approved grant applications in a common list with a standardised format on both its Norwegian and its English webpages. “This ensures that the results of our extensive application review processes are made available in a systematic and uniform fashion,” says Nina Hedlund, head of the Research Council’s R&D Committee.

The page providing an overview of approved grant applications may be accessed directly from the home page or from the menu item “Apply for funding > Application status”.

Transparency

The Research Council works to ensure the greatest possible transparency in connection with the award of research grants. As part of this effort, the following information will be provided in relation to the individual calls for proposals:

  • Total applications received
  • Total funding sought
  • Title and project owner of approved grant applications
  • Distribution of grant applications across the scale of marks
  • Resolution of any issues pertaining to impartiality

Straight to your “In” box

The results of application processing and the application status may be accessed via PC, tablet and smartphones. It is also possible to subscribe to them by email via the Research Council’s news service.
