FRIPRO allocations to 35 projects in the humanities and social sciences

The Expert Committee for the Humanities and Social Sciences (FRIHUMSAM) has awarded roughly NOK 150 million to 35 projects under the ordinary FRIPRO budget.

In January 2014 additional funding will be allocated to Young Research Talents projects in these subjects through the joint funding initiative between Norway’s universities and the Research Council.

Distribution by type of grant application

The 35 approved projects are distributed as follows:

• 12 Researcher Projects
• 5 Young Research Talents projects
• 6 Personal Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships
• 12 Support for Events grants

Six of the project managers for the Researcher Projects are women and six are men. For the Young Research Talents projects, four project managers are women and one is a man. The post-doctoral research fellowships were granted to two women and four men.
