FRIPRO allocations to 34 projects in medicine, health sciences and biology

The Expert Committee for Medicine, Health Sciences and Biology (FRIMEDBIO) has awarded nearly NOK 246 million to 34 projects under the ordinary FRIPRO budget.

In January 2014 additional funding will be allocated to Young Research Talents projects in these subjects through the joint funding initiative between Norway’s universities and the Research Council.

Distribution by type of grant application

The 34 approved projects are distributed as follows:

• 18 Researcher Projects
• 10 Young Research Talents projects
• 6 Personal Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships

Eight of the project managers for the Researcher Projects are women and 10 are men. For the Young Research Talents projects, four project managers are women and six are men. The post-doctoral research fellowships were granted to two women and four men.
