FRIPRO allocations to 34 projects in mathematics, physical sciences and technology

The Expert Committee for Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Technology (FRINATEK) has awarded roughly NOK 211 million to 34 projects under the ordinary FRIPRO budget.

In January 2014 additional funding will be allocated to Young Research Talents projects in these subjects through the joint funding initiative between Norway’s universities and the Research Council.

Distribution by type of grant application

The 35 approved projects are distributed as follows:

• 19 Researcher Projects
• 7 Young Research Talents projects
• 7 Personal Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships
• 1 Support for Events grants

Two of the project managers for the Researcher Projects are women and 17 are men. For the Young Research Talents projects, two project managers are women and five are men. The post-doctoral research fellowships were granted to two women and five men.
