Funding to encourage increased participation in EU health research (HELSE-EU)

Deadline Announcement
Open-ended Funding for participants with EU projects on the reserve list Choose

A list with the project titles of all applications under processing will be published on the Research Council website.

The primary objective of the HELSE-EU scheme is to encourage Norwegian health researchers to participate under Horizon 2020 and to promote the submission of more project proposals on health topics under Horizon 2020.

This is to be achieved by promoting better collaboration between leading research actors within thematic areas defined to be of particular strategic importance. Collaboration must encompass actors across institutions, research groups, disciplines, subject areas and/or sectors. Sharing best practice, exchanging knowledge and developing alliances will better enable Norwegian health research groups to win Horizon 2020 funding. Collaboration is to better equip the partners to compete successfully under Horizon 2020. Collaboration within the strategic thematic areas must lead to submission of one or more proposals under Horizon 2020.

In addition, the HELSE-EU scheme provides a funding incentive for participants who have submitted project proposals to the EU of such high quality that they have been placed on the reserve list. Funding may be used to revise the project proposal for resubmission or to submit an entirely new project proposal under Horizon 2020.

This programme/activity normally accepts grant applications from:

Trade and industry, research institutes, universities, university colleges, regional health authorities, public sector entities, and user organisations.

Overall budget:
