Personal overseas research grant Choose

Amount of funding presumed available for this call for proposals:

Funding for Personal Overseas Research Grants will be taken from the FRIMEDBIO budget. Personal Overseas Research Grants are highly prioritised.

Guidelines and important considerations relevant to all types of applications in this call for proposals:

The Norwegian-language call for proposals is the legally binding version.

The Research Council wishes to encourage greater participation by younger Norwegian researchers in international research cooperation. Thus funding is available for Personal Overseas Research Grants for FRIPRO-funded research fellows and project managers of FRIPRO Young Research Talent projects. The grant applies to a stay at a research institution abroad during a portion of the project period. This call for proposals for Personal Overseas Research Grants has an open-ended deadline, so applications may be submitted throughout the year and will be processed on an ongoing basis.

Applications for Personal Overseas Research Grants may only be submitted for doctoral or post-doctoral research fellows receiving funding, i.e. a salary, from the Research Council under FRIMEDBIO. Funding will be awarded for a research stay abroad during the period in which the research fellow is receiving a salary from the Council. Personal Overseas Research Grants for project managers of Young Research Talent projects may be sought throughout the project period. Research stays may have a duration of 3–12 months, but must not involve an extension of the fellowship or project period.
