The Research Council arranges a Norwegian-Russian conference on petroleum resources, energy-political cooperation and social development in the Arctic region.

Tatiana Mitrova, Jarand Rystad and Sveinung Løseth are amongst the presenters, in addition to a series of prominent experts on civil society, politics and technology from both countries.

The Norway-Russia 2014 conference is based on many years of collaboration between Norwegian and Russian researchers.

This year the organizers are the research programs PETROMAKS 2, PETROSAM 2 and NORRUS. The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS),  Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and Russian Foundation for Humanities are the Russian collaborative partners.

The conference takes place in the Research Council's conference center in Oslo.
