Grant Agreement / Consortium Agreement in Horizon Europe (1 dag) – Nivå 2

Når du skal i gang med et EU-prosjekt, og kanskje utvikle løsninger og produkter sammen med andre, er det viktig å ha formelle avtaler på plass. Da unngår du at det oppstår problemer med for eksempel prosjektleveranser og rettigheter til resultatene. Dette kurset gir deg alt du trenger å vite om avtaler med EU-kommisjonen, og mellom prosjektpartnerne. Du får også tilgang til avtalemaler og tips til hva som er viktig å passe på ved utfylling. Kurset avsluttes med en gjennomgang av noen praktiske eksempler på utfordrende situasjoner som kan oppstå i et prosjekt, og hvordan en god konsortieavtale kan hjelpe til å løse problemer og forhindre at slike situasjoner oppstår.

Kurset holdes på engelsk, og kursleder er Europa Media.

Grant Agreement / Consortium Agreement in Horizon Europe (1-day) – Level 2

The course gives you a step by step introduction to the Grant Agreement preparation. It also presents other important formal and informal arrangements among the project partners in a consortium, such as confidentiality, commitment, intellectual property and its protection. We will go through how to draw up an effective consortium agreement, based on the DESCA model consortium agreement and examples of consortium agreements for different project types. Finally, we will go through some real-life examples and discuss how to draw up an effective consortium agreement that helps to tackle such problems in the consortium.

The course language is English, and the course is delivered by Europa Media.

Step by step introduction to the Grant Agreement preparation system from receiving the Invitation to GAP Letter for your Horizon Europe proposal till the signature of your Grant Agreement. Topics covered:

  • Invitation to GAP letter
  • Evaluation Summary Report
  • Result of the ethics review or security scrutiny
  • How to handle the requests of your Project Officer • How to enter and submit your Grant Data
  • Declaration of Honour and the Accession Form
  • Preparing the Description of the Action (DoA) • Signature of the GA
  • GA amendments - when a GA amendment is not needed

10:30 – 11:30 Formal and Informal Arrangements among HEU Beneficiaries:

Confidentiality and commitment issues in HEU proposals. Partners’ roles, exploitation interests and IP. Pre-proposal, proposal stage and implementation phase agreements: Letters of Intent (LoI), Letters of Commitment (LoC), Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), Non-disclosure Agreements (NDA), Draft Consortium Agreements, Subcontracting agreement, Licencing Agreement.

11:40 – 12:30  How to draw up an Effective Consortium Agreement - Part 1

Introduction to the DESCA Model Consortium Agreement and examples of Consortium Agreements for different types of actions. Decision making procedures and management structures. Financial clauses, budget distribution and management. Defining Background, Results and IPR issues. Risk management and conflict resolution mechanisms. Making a comparison between the GA and the CA.

13:15 – 13:45 How to draw up an Effective Consortium Agreement - Part 2

13:45 - 15:00 Workshop: Consortium Agreement Case Studies

Under the moderation of trainers, participants work in groups on real-life scenarios with problematic and challenging situations in R&I projects and discuss how to draw up a good Consortium Agreement that helps effectively tackle such situations:

  • Conflicts on exploitation and intellectual property rights (IPR) issues;
  • Disagreements on dissemination and scientific publications;
  • Delays and quality problems in deliverables;
  • Overspending and underperforming partners;
  • Inadequate budget allocations and budget reallocations; etc.
