Adaptive capacity to climate change -personal visiting researcher grant

The personal visiting researcher grant is planned to facilitate and undertake critical tasks for the accomplishment of Critical Aspects of Adaptive Capacity to Climate Change in the Northern Regions (working title CAVIAR-II) funded by NORKLIMA (project nu mber ES-483216). CAVIAR-II is an on-going project where we study adaptation and vulnerability to the combined and interacting changes in climatic and socioeconomic conditions in northern local community. During the oversea stay, the candidate will parti cipate in fieldwork and publishing of data according to WP1 and 5. 1.preparing for and carrying out the field work in order to ensure transferability and feasibility between WP 1 and 5.2.analyzing the data needed to identify the determinants of adapt ive capacity by developing and using template derived from SES and CAVIAR frameworks (possible journal article). 3.Tracing changes in selected ecosystem services -modeling climate change in terrestrial ecosystems (journal article)4.adaptive capacity i n nature based industries in the north ?preparing for changes and uncertainties in ecosystem services (journal article)5.evaluate the ontology and epistemology of the two frameworks in terms of what constitutes a social-ecological system, and what are t he causal explanations of drivers of change in such systems. This will provide the foundation for a high level journal article.
