The Research Council has established a new programme to facilitate Indian-Norwegian Cooperation. The INDNOR-programme will be realised through thematic research programmes. At start-up there is a generic call (INDNOR) and a joint call with the dep. of Science and Technology in India (JOINTINDNOR).
The Research Council received 46 applications to the NORGLOBAL/INDNOR call. The applications have been assessed by three expert panels and additional individual experts. The Norglobal programme board was given the mandate to make the final decision on these applications.
Under the bilateral research cooperation between Norway and India, grants have now been awarded to two new environmental research projects.
NOK 40 million is now available for strengthening the Indo-Norwegian research cooperation within the areas of social and human sciences.
