Final Conference for the programme 'Development Paths in the South'
The programme 'Development Paths in the South' will have its concluding conference in Oslo on March 10th and 11th. The conference aims to present the Research Council's largest programme on development research and its foremost research results. In addition the conference will explore the use and value of Norwegian development research in a panel debate. A number of international renowned researchers will deliver keynote speeches.
This conference is a golden opportunity to gain insight in Norwegian development research through the programme’s 96 different projects. Researchers from these projects, representing different institutions from all over Norway will contribute to the conference.
The panel will debate how Norwegian development research has contributed to foreign and aid policy in Norway. Has the programme contributed to stimulating debate on development issues? Where do we go from here? Representatives from the South, other researchers, an NGO representatives and Ministry officials will participate in the debate.
The conference will be in English. There is no parcipation fee. Lunches, coffee breaks and dinner are included.
Venue is the Oslo Plaza Hotel.
