"Tax havens, capital flows and developing countries"
The kick-off meeting that was held 18 January was the first official presentation of the new activity. The first call for proposal is also published and the deadline for sending in proposals is 13 April 2011.
The political background for establishing this activity was presented by State Secretary Ingrid Fiskaa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Further presentations were given by Director Fridtjov Thorkildsen, Norad, Professor Halvor Mehlum, University of Oslo, Dr. Jonathan Di John, School of Oriental & African Studies, London and representatives from the Research Council of Norway. The presentations included the programme document (PDF-34.2 KB) and call for proposals.
We thank everybody for their valuable contributions to the discussions and we are looking forward to receiving many good project proposals before the deadline.
