On April 18-21, 2017, SSF visited the Ny-Ålesund research community. The purpose of the visit was to develop a better dialog with the research institutions, to inform and get information about ongoing research, and to explain what SSF can do for the institutions. SSF informed about its work and the RiS database, and researchers and students were able to ask questions about that work. In particular, we had a comprehensive dialog about RiS.

There will also be a station visits with the ship Polarsyssel and visits by the Governor to Hornsund, Calypsobyen, Kaffiøyra and Ny-Ålesund on July 3-7, 2017.

We hope to see you all in the RiS database and at the Svalbard Conference in Oslo on 6 - 8 November 2017. Photo: Carina Leander
