The goal of the programme is to establish the basis for long-term research co-operation between Norway and South Africa through the funding of joint research projects.
The Research Council of Norway will be the Norwegian partner in a new programme aiming to advance research cooperation with South Africa. This is clear from the newly signed framework agreement between the two countries’ authorities.
Applications are now being accepted for the Southern African Young Scientists Summer Program (SA-YSSP), which will kick off its inaugural session this December at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.
The new agreement has still not been signed. However, we understand that the text of the agreement is now under final scrutiny by legal experts.
