Results from the last NORGLOBAL Call

The NORGLOBAL board received a total of 38 applications to the October 12 deadline. The call included the HUMPOL activity, the joint India/Women and Gender activity, the joint India/Globmek activity and the TaxCapDev.

 

The following decision was taken at the programme board meeting:

HUMPOL
19 applications were received by deadline.


Approved for funding:

No. 217192 'Courting catastrophe? Humanitarian policy and practice in a changing climate', NORAGRIC
No. 217262 'Economic Conditions of Displacement', Fafo
No. 217170 'Protection of Civilians: From Principle to Practice', PRIO
Some reduction of the amount granted is to be expected for all projects. In addition the project 217170 will need an adjustment of the text in the project document.

Will be invited to revise:
No. 217260 'Armed Violence in Urban Settings. New Challenges, New Humanitarianisms', NUPI 

TaxCapDev
2 applications were received by deadline.


Will be invited to revise:

No. 217200 'Sustainable tax governance in developing countries through global tax transparency', University of Oslo 


 

 JOINT CALLS WITH THE INDIA PROGRAMME: 

The results from the joint India/Globmek call and the joint India/Women and Gender call show great interest in the Norwegian research institutions to cooperate with corresponding institutions in India. The two calls invited to cooperation with institutions from India and other countries in the South.
 

GLOBMEK - Joint call with the India Programme
11 applications were received by deadline.
The joint call includes institutions from India as partners in all the four supported projects. In three of the projects India is one of several partner countries in the supported projects.

Approved for funding, contingent on some clarifications:

Women and Gender - Joint call with the India Programme

The joint India /Women and Gender call will support two projects after resubmission and revision. In both these projects India is a partner together with other partner countries.
