NevroNor arranges the National Meeting “The Third Revolution in Neuroscience: Convergence of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering” at Gardermoen 27 November.

With this conference we hope to stimulate interdisciplinary research for enhancing knowledge in and application of neuroscience. We define convergence as the merging of distinct technologies, processing disciplines, or devices into a unified whole to create new scientific approaches and opportunities. This involves the integration of various fields of study – particularly engineering, physical sciences, and life sciences."

Opening speech:
State Secretary Ragnhild Setsaas
, Ministry of Education and Research

Key note lectures:
Jens Schouenborg
, Neuronano Research Center, Lund University, Sweden
“Nanostructured Brain Machine Interfaces for communication with the conscious brain and therapy"

Bengt Winblad, Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, Karolinska Institutet
“Present and future strategies for the treatment of Alzheimer Disease”

Sean Hill, International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF), Karolinska Institutet
“Collaborative research infrastructure for data sharing and integration in neuroscience”
