IN CONNECTION WITH THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS WITH DEADLINE 15 FEBRUARY:
FAQ about French-Norwegian project cooperation
Norwegian applications for funding for bilateral project cooperation with France under the current NANO2021 call for proposals (application deadline 15 February) MUST comply with the Norwegian text of the call for proposals on the Norwegian website and the restrictions specified there pertaining to the format and maximum number of pages allowed in grant applications to the Research Council. This is the case for all the various types of grant applications.
The Norwegian portion of the project must be described in detail in the grant proposal submitted to the NANO2021 programme. The project description should also describe what the role of the French partners in the joint project will be. The project description may not exceed the maximum number of pages specified in the text of the call for proposals.
Confirmation that the French partners have submitted a grant proposal to the ANR must be forwarded to the NANO2021 programme at the latest by 1 March 2012. This should be sent by email to abh@rcn.no.
The NANO2021 programme does not stipulate that the grant applications submitted to the Research Council of Norway and the ANR must be identical. The apparent stipulation on the ANR funding announcement pages that “one and the same grant proposal” must be submitted to the NANO2021 programme and the ANR is directed to the French partners, who should contact the ANR directly on this matter.
