Researcher exchange between Norway and USA/Canada - 35 new mobility grants
Thanks to the Leiv Eiriksson mobility programme six researchers from North American research institutions are coming to Norway for research stays in 2013/2014, while 29 Norwegian scientists are going to North America on the same mission.
36% of the applications resulting from the Leiv Eiriksson call for proposal will receive grants, according to a decision made by the programme board of the International Scholarship section.
The programme received a total of 96 applications. The total amount that was applied for was NOK 16 million.
The budget for 2013 totals approximately NOK 6 million. The consequence of the limited financial resources is that many good applications unfortunately have to be turned down.

All the relevant project owners will receive a letter of allocation of funding from the Research Council shortly. The project owners must then inform all other parties involved.
