The report describes and documents the Norwegian research and innovation system:
The report is based upon the results from the national R&D and Innovation surveys as well as other statistics and studies. Time series and international data are also included.
The purpose of the report is to present an overall description for non-Norwegian readers of the status of Norwegian activity in research and experimental development, higher education, science and technology.
Eurostat has on November the 16th released preliminary 2015 R&D figures, expenditures and personnel.
Research and development expenditure sank below three per cent of gross domestic product. According to Statistics Finland, research and development expenditure amounted to EUR 6.1 billion in 2015. Expenditure went down by EUR 440 million from the year before.
The third edition of the European Tertiary Education Register (ETER) has been published. A new user-friendly interface makes access to the data easier.
The MSTI database (Main Science and Technology Indicators) provides a set of indicators that reflect the level and structure of the efforts undertaken by OECD Member countries and some non-member economies in the field of science and technology.
Eurostat has updated Eurobase all the R&D personnel and expenditure tables.
