The French Norwegian Foundation promotes long-lasting French/Norwegian cooperation through the financing of joint R&D projects in which both industry and research institutes/universities are involved with the aim of creating cooperation lasting beyond the project-period.
Reliable monitoring of oxygen levels and currents is a decisive economic factor for the fish farming industry. The FNS project ENVI-BUOY, Nortek AS is developing an environmental buoy that will simplify and automate these measurement processes.
Scientific staff/groups of researchers at Norwegian institutions may seek funding for short-term stays in France to launch and develop joint research projects.
In close cooperation with institutions from both countries, the Foundation organises a marine seminar in Bergen in June 2013. The Foundation also supports the Forum Oil&Space, taking place in Oslo, April 8, 2013.
Applications should be submitted to the Foundation before May 3, 2013, to the Secretariats in both countries. The Board has two meetings a year (June and November).
