Research areas
The Research Council has programmes and activities covering all branches of industry and research areas, from transport and food production to ICT and nanotechnology.
The Government white paper on research and the national fiscal budget set out guiding principles on which the Research Council bases its priorities and distribution of funding. Specific research programmes have been established in certain research areas, while other areas are covered by general support schemes.
