Department for Research Council Regional Offices

The Research Council has regional representatives located throughout Norway. The 13 regional offices cooperate closely with the district offices of Innovation Norway.

The regional representatives have in-depth knowledge of the respective regions in which they work. The offices provide input to the regional-level industrial clusters, companies and research community, among other things on how best to take advantage of the Research Council’s programmes and initiatives. The aim is to promote more research and innovation activity at the regional level. The county administration and other segments of the public sector often play an integral part in these efforts.
