Young scientists take centre stage

In its second issue of the year Bladet Forskning turns the spotlight on the best and brightest of Norway's young researchers. Some of them were recently honoured at the Norwegian Contest for Young Scientists, which is carried out under the auspices of the Research Council's Proscientia project.

Forskning 2/09 The magazine also presents a course in dissemination techniques for doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows within the natural sciences. In addition the issue includes articles on the unusual connection between gamma-ray bursts, mammography and airport security, and a large-scale project, coordinated in Norway, for recording health statistics in 20 African and Asian countries.

Forskning magazine

Forskning magazine offers news and features about Norwegian research and the initiatives and activities of the Research Council. The magazine also focuses on the internationalisation of Norwegian research as well as the debate on strategies, plans and decisions concerning Norwegian research in general.

Four issues a year

Forskning is issued (in Norwegian) four times a year. In addition, supplementary issues dedicated to special topics are published from time to time. Selected articles from the magazine are translated into English on a regular basis and published on the Research Council website.
