Research funding and research dissemination

This year's third issue of Forskning magazine features an interview with Fred Kavli, a billionaire philanthropist with Norwegian roots, whose tremendous efforts on behalf of research invoke the spirit of another Nordic benefactor, Alfred Nobel.

The magazine turns the spotlight on research dissemination as well, with special focus on Norway's annual nationwide research festival National Science Week. The issue also takes a look at the links between petroleum exploration, noise pollution and a reduction in the number of fish.

Forskning magazine

Forskning magazine offers news and features about Norwegian research and the initiatives and activities of the Research Council. The magazine also focuses on the internationalisation of Norwegian research as well as the debate on strategies, plans and decisions concerning Norwegian research in general.

Four issues a year

Forskning is issued (in Norwegian) four times a year. In addition, supplementary issues dedicated to special topics are published from time to time. Selected articles from the magazine are translated into English on a regular basis and published on the Research Council website.
