Polar research and international perspectives

The summer edition of Bladet Forskning coincides with the large-scale International Polar Year conference to be held in Oslo on 8-12 June. What could be a more natural theme than current and future polar research?

Forskning magazine 2/2010 Polar research is international by nature. This issue provides insight into other cooperative efforts between Norwegian and international researchers as well, starting with a feature on research on springtails in Norway and South Africa. The Norwegian issue also highlights successful Norwegian participation in projects under the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technology, and looks at projects conducted under the WESTBALKAN programme, which recently concluded its initial programme period.

Forskning magazine
Forskning magazine offers news and features about Norwegian research and the initiatives and activities of the Research Council. The magazine also focuses on the internationalisation of Norwegian research as well as the debate on strategies, plans and decisions concerning Norwegian research in general.

 

Four issues a year

Forskning is issued (in Norwegian) four times a year. Selected articles from the magazine are translated into English on a regular basis and published on the Research Council website.
