EEA Grants – Norway Grants:

Partner Search Database receiving submissions

The Research Council of Norway coordinates the Norwegian participation in all programmes for research cooperation financed by EEA and Norway Grants. A Partner Search Database is now receiving submissions.

kart Research cooperation programmes are currently being set up with 6 countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. In total over 100 million euro is allocated to research cooperation between donor states (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein) and the beneficiary states with research cooperation programmes for the period 2012-16.

Finding partners

Potential partners is both donor countries (Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein) and beneficiary countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland, Romania) are invited to register their interest through a survey which will feed into a research partner database.

The aim of this survey is to provide a resource for researchers looking for partners for research cooperation, in view of the upcoming calls for projects under the EEA Grants and Norway Grants research programmes.

The information institutions provide will be made publicly available in the form of an Excel workbook posted on EEA Grants - Norway Grants webpage. The database/workbook will remain public until all calls under this funding period have expired.

The information will also be used to prepare matchmaking events in the 6 countries with research cooperation programmes.

About the programmes

The programmes will support research cooperation projects with at least one partner from a beneficiary country and one in Norway. In the Romanian programme, partners from Iceland and Lichtenstein participate on the same terms as Norwegian partners.

Programme Operator institutions in Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland and Romania will administer the programmes. Programme Committes will be established with representatives from research communities in both beneficiary and donor countries.

The Research Council of Norway is the Donor Programme Partner for all 6 research cooperation programmes. The RCN role is to act as adviser to both researchers who wish to take part in this funding scheme and to the Programme Operators in each of the 6 countries.
