CONCERT-Japan Pilot Joint Call

A CONCERT-Japan Pilot Joint Call on Research and Innovation will be launched in September 2012. The joint call will cover two themes: ‘Efficient Energy Storage and Distribution’ and ‘Resilience against Disasters’.

The call will be funded by the budget allocated by each participating national/regional funding organization. The Norwegian funding organization is The Research Council of Norway (RCN). National/regional funding regulations will apply.

Eligibility

Research projects with an innovative dimension will be funded for a period of 2 years. The research projects are expected to have mobility and networking dimensions apart from the core research component.

Only project consortiums will be eligible for funding. It is required that consortiums applying for this call should consist of at least 3 partners, 1 from Japan and 2 from two different European countries participating in the call.

CONCERT-Japan Conference and Partnering Events

Two different Conference and Partnering Events will take place prior to the Joint Call. The events will provide detailed information on the Joint Call and offer possibilities of networking and exchange of project ideas. The two events will be:

Tokyo (Japan), 10-11 September 2012,
focused on the theme of Resilience against Disasters


Milan (Italy), 27-28 September 2012,
focused on the theme of Efficient Energy Storage and Distribution

Researchers are advised to check the draft description of both themes for more information on their scope through CONCERT-Japan website.
