  • It is possible to submit an optional project outline in May/June to initiate a dialogue with the Research Council on how to angle your grant proposal.

Programme for User-driven Research-based Innovation (BIA)

BIA is the final piece of the funding puzzle. If none of the other programmes seems right for you, the Programme for User-driven Research-based Innovation (BIA) is most likely the correct choice. Companies from all branches of industry compete under the BIA programme for funding for innovation projects. Companies in many different branches of industry may submit a grant application for an innovation project to compete for funding from the Research Council. A number of programmes with different thematic areas and sectoral focus issue funding announcements for innovation projects as well. If none of these programmes feels right for you, your proposal may belong under the Programme for User-driven Research-based Innovation (BIA). If you need help in determining the appropriate programme, contact one of our advisers.
