The Research Programme on Sickness Absence, Work and Health (SYKEFRAVAER) is a continuation of the Programme on Sickness Absence Research and Exclusion from Working Life. Research on sickness absence and exclusion from working life will be continued during the new programme period. In addition, research on the working environment and health in the workplace as independent thematic areas will be strengthened, as will research revolving around prevention perspectives as well as on older employees and working life.
The overall objective of the programme is to create conditions that promote a satisfactory working environment and good working health, as well as a high level of participation in the labour market by obtaining research-based knowledge about:
These objectives will be achieved through high-quality research activities. The programme will also work to create a framework to promote research-based teaching.
