Objectives:
The Joint Committe for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) is a cooperation between the research councils in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden responsible for research within the Humanities and Social Sciences. The main purposes of NOS-HS are to promote strategic co-operation between the Nordic research councils as well as between the research councils and other Nordic and international bodies. NOS-HS enhance the exchange of information between the Nordic research councils furthering research co-operation. Further it provides research funding and initiate other activities which support Nordic research, providing research funding and initiating other activities which support Nordic research co-operation. Also it supports the publishing of Nordic periodicals in the Humanities and Social Science.
This programme/activity normally accepts grant applications from:
Universities, university colleges and research institutes.
