The NANO2021 programme is the Research Council of Norway’s large-scale research programme on nanotechnology, microtechnology and advanced materials.
The programme aims to enhance the national knowledge base in this technology area to meet high international standards. The programme seeks to develop outstanding knowledge and sustainable solutions based on nanotechnology and advanced materials to meet the needs of trade and industry and society at large. The programme plays a key role in following up the Norwegian Government’s national R&D strategy for nanotechnology for 2012-2021.

The programme’s budget in 2017 is approximately NOK 130 million.
